The Charles Street Bakery has been stealing the hearts of locals since 2002. We have a small-town bakery feel with big flavor and an even bigger heart. We're fortunate to have local customers who have made us a local staple for generations to enjoy. Our local customers come daily, and others drive from afar, for homemade lattes, custom decorated cakes and award-winning cookies and pastries. 

It's no wonder our bakery is so adored... our customers can feel how much our staff loves what they do and how much pride they take in their work. Our owner, Deborah Taylor,  has been a pastry chef for 40+ years - she has worked from California to DC in various areas of the pastry arts field - from co-ownings a quaint Santa Barbara bakery to working in DC as the Executive Pastry Chef for a prestigious, high-end caterer - her collective experienced is evident in all things - big and small - in this sweet little bakery.

As important as the products she sells, Deborah recognizes that her staff is critical to the feeling of the bakery - both from the customer standpoint and the back of the house. As such, she hires individuals who have BIG talent and a BIG personality. It keeps the bakery laughing even on the busiest of days. Deborah is truly obsessed with her customers - they are family, and the products reflect her love for baking and art.
